Inside Scoop: Check out this Grain-Free Cacao & Honey Banana Bread using our new favourite cacao infused honey.
So, I got this gorgeous honey.
It’s a cacao infused honey by Beekeeper’s Naturals, and IT IS DIVINE!
Which got me thinking, what can I do with this? Other than coffee and toast, I really want to experiment with this delicious chocolate infused honey. Then I remembered that I’ve also really wanted to recreate our Quinoa Banana Bread in a grain-free way, because, well, why not?
First of all, almond flour is amazing to bake with. It creates a sweet, nutty and moist flavour, and it’s really quite versatile. Second of all, for this moment in time I am (unfortunately) grain-free, as grains irritate my gut.
While our Quinoa Banana Bread is some of the best banana bread I’ve ever had in my life, I thought that we should provide some banana bread options for all of the different types of diets up in here!
This Cacao Honey Banana Bread Is Divine
So this Honey Banana Bread was recreated to be almost the exact same, except I changed up the flour and added honey instead of coconut sugar, and it actually contains less sugar overall.
This honey banana bread also is:
- Loaded with flavour
- Grain and gluten-free
- High in fiber
- High protein & healthy fats
- Contains veggies – woot woot
- Can be made easily in 1 bowl
A great alternative for those looking for grain-free options, but it’s also a great treat for anyone who just loves honey banana bread!
You can use any raw honey for this honey banana bread, but we’ve been crushing HARD on Beekeeper’s Naturals honey, especially their Superfood Cacao Honey!
Pretty brilliant if you ask us, infusing 2 superfoods together (plus chocolate – our fav), and coming up with a nutrient dense, enzyme loaded sweet treat that totally satisfies.
You’ll be hard pressed to find a honey quite like this one. Beekeeper’s is amazing, they have so many different products, like B.Powered (which is a blend of royal jelly, bee pollen and propolis), they have bee propolis, B.Chill (which has high potency hemp oil), throat spray (for those nasty colds) and obvs just regular, delicious honey.
Their honey is also raw, sourced right from the hive, and non-GMO!
So, naturally, one of our new favourite brands of honey, and not only will we be testing other delicious creations (like this Cacao & Honey Banana Bread), but we will be using Beekeeper’s Naturals all year round to support our immune system.
