If youâve been experiencing a lack of energy, fear not, fellow humans, youâre not alone. For starters, we can easily blame it on the season change that can play with your sleep cycle, energy needs, and your hormones – hence the lack of energy, especially in the early mornings. As well as that, other factors may also contribute to this feeling of sluggishness, but how you approach your own lifestyle can definitely help you survive this transitional period with your energy levels through the roof.
We often make choices based on what seems best for our work, a temporary craving, or what would work best for others â not really taking into account the vibrancy we need to stay focused and enjoy the day no matter what we do. So, this time, letâs take a different perspective; the one that lets you see what the best choices for your lasting energy are, so that you can adapt and overcome this obstacle and face your day brimming with vitality!

5 TIPS FOR LASTING ENERGY ALL DAY
Boost your breakfast menu
Whether you run your own business from home, from an office, or you have a traditional nine-to-five job, most of us start our days in a rush to get to work. As justified as this mindset may seem, in order to be truly productive, keep your focus sharp, and be in your best problem-solving mode, you need to preserve your energy. How, you ask? With delicious anti-inflammatory foods that are designed to help your body stay healthy and give you the right nutritious kick from the moment you rise and shine!
I personally love adding some antioxidant-rich berries to my morning oatmeal or a smoothie, sipping on green tea instead of coffee, or enjoying fresh avocado toast with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Balance is key, and if you reach the right groceries, youâll make sure you have the finest micro and macronutrients in your diet from the very first morning bite.

Choose the best nutrition reinforcements
Sometimes, even with the best of efforts, I know that my diet isnât as optimal as it should be in terms of vitamins and minerals to cover my energy needs â and it took me a while to figure this out. Itâs only natural to feel low on energy when we lack vitamin D, for example, or B vitamins from our diet.
Another crucial energy booster I like to add to my diet is the heart-friendly coenzyme Q10, typically found in fatty fish, certain meats, and legumes. However, when I cannot consume enough of it through food, I rely on supplements in order to protect and enhance my energy.
This antioxidant is vital in energy production, and practically every cell of our body uses it, so itâs safe to say weâre bound to feel lethargic and exhausted without this nutrient in our diet. The same goes for vitamin D, whose lack leads to overwhelming fatigue, but supplements can help here as well. In general, we can all benefit from energy-boosting supplements when our diets just wonât cut it.Â

Work in a morning workout
For people who only have time for coffee and a Danish before they head to the office (guilty as charged!) â you need this the most, and the rest arenât too far behind. If hitting the gym is not your cup of tea, or if the weather isnât too appealing for a jog, you can perform a set of morning exercises in your own home as you get out of bed.
I rely on a yoga flow consisting of core-strengthening asanas and stretches to help my body wake up slowly, a HIIT routine with a few accessories, or a combination of several bodyweight exercises I can do anywhere, inside or outside. It can be as brief as 15-minutes-long and youâll still reap the rewards when it comes to building up the necessary focus for the day ahead.

Stay away from the phone
This will be a tricky request for the tech lovers among you, and since most of us have become too attached to our gadgets, itâs not surprising to discover that most people first pick up their phone and visit their social media profiles before they do anything else. I know Iâve been that person for a very long time. Try replacing this habit with different, healthful habits for fuelling your energy with positive vibes and mindfulness.
Instead of focusing on what youâve missed since the last time you stared at the screen, why not do a ten-minute meditation with affirmations to kick-start your day on a positive note? You should also consider ditching the TV and other devices in the morning, so as to focus on the habits that build up instead of drain your energy â food, exercise, meditation, and the like.

Master the art of beauty sleep
Getting those seven or eight hours of shut-eye bodes well not just for reducing those eye bags and dark circles, but also for your entire organism, including your hormones and energy levels. The same digital detox you need in the morning applies for your before-bed routine, so that you can help your mind unwind and prepare for the lights-off mode.
However, the key here you need to remember is that one night cannot give you the results you need. Consistency is vital so that you can reap the energy rewards of healthy sleep patterns, as only regular, quality sleep will ensure that your hormones are balanced and that you can tackle the challenges of each day.
Our modern lives often contradict our essential needs. Nevertheless, even during these sensitive times of the year, you can make a difference by tweaking some of your everyday choices to provide you with lasting energy and get ready for everything and anything that the day has in store for you!
