Inside Scoop: This Nourishing Berry Salsa With Mint & Hemp Seeds is the perfect breakfast topper for pancakes, waffles, yogurt, chia pudding, nice cream or oats. Berry salsa with mint and hemp seeds? Seems like a weird fit, right?
A traditional salsa generally conjures up images of tomatoes, onion, cilantro, nacho chips and a pitcher of margaritas (or maybe thatâs just whatâs in our heads), and not sweet and fruity. And, although traditionally salsa has a tomato base and is prepared mildly sweet with a bit of spice, it doesnât mean we canât be playful and fun with it and go all out on the fruit front. We want options dammit!
Give us salsa options for breakfast, lunch dinner, and salsa options for sweet savory and spicy. Letâs get creative and take fruit and herbs, and let the flavours blend until it’s saucy and sweet. Weâre all for taking this salsa game to the next level. This Nourishing Berry Salsa With Mint & Hemp Seeds is the perfect breakfast topper for pancakes, waffles, yogurt, chia pudding or oats. Itâs also the perfect dip for nacho chips or whole grain crackers, or better yet, as a fruit salad, straight from the bowl!

WHY BERRY SALSA IS A HEALTHY TOPPING GAME CHANGER
This berry salsa is loaded with fresh-picked berries, and mint leaves, but we wanted to make it more nutrient dense, and nourishing so we added hemp seeds, of course, because we have an affinity for them. Hemp seeds are crazy high in protein, fiber, minerals and healthy fats. They have a creamy and buttery consistency, which puts them at the top of our list above chia and flax seeds. They are simply the best little seed out there (according to us). So yeah, hemp seeds are the bomb, and fruit is the bomb (especially when they have been chopped and sitting overnight in their fruity fruit juices), and then to top it all off⌠mint! So sweet, healthy, filled with antioxidants, fiber and utterly delicious.
