Yes, we may be all about healthier desserts and snacks, but salads are ESSENTIAL health tools, didn’t yah know?
Kale is just one of our favourite healthy greens, and we have some delicious recipes that disguise the wonderful green, like our Cheesy Dill Kale Chips and Kale Blueberry & Blender Muffins, but sometimes, you just need to straight up salad your kale! You know, the way nature intended.
We know that Mother Nature made greens a little bit bitter, and maybe not the most pleasurable taste to the palette when plain (especially if you’re not used to eating greens), but we also know that if Mother Nature were human, this goddess would be standing in front of us saying,
“It’s not about eating it plain guys, it’s about finding the other things provided by the earth, and making that kale stand out, like the badass she is.”
We often have vivid daydreams about who Mother Warrior Nature is.
Luckily Jessica Mitton knows just exactly how to make kale stand out, and has contributed the most beautiful, and Simple Kale Salad with a Creamy Garlic Dressing.
If you aren’t dreaming of kale salads, after you try a bite, you certainly will be.
Kale is such a wonderful food, it is loaded with Vitamin K, A and C (which are all fat-soluble vitamins), and also pretty abundant in minerals, making it anti-inflammatory, supporting your cardiovascular system, and supporting liver detox pathways.
It’s time to take plain ol’ kale, and make it come to life with this wonderful and simple kale salad!
