Green factor aside; let’s talk about the delicious factor of smoothies for one minute. You can really make or break smoothies by how you layer them and what you put in them. Check out an article we wrote about how to build the perfect smoothie ratio here: The Basic Art Of Making The Best Smoothie Ever.

3 HOT FACTS ABOUT THIS SKIN GLOWING ORANGE SMOOTHIE RECIPE:

AVOCADOS

Avocados are one of Mother Nature’s wonder foods. High in protein, heart healthy fats and antioxidants, they are incredible to use in your skincare regiment (whether consuming them or applying them topically.)

They also contain skin-protecting antioxidants such as beta-carotene, which becomes more readily absorbed due to avocado’s fat content.

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY OMEGA 3

Flax seeds and oil are one of the richest sources of Omega 3 and are very high on the anti-inflammatory index.

ORANGES

Oranges are high in Vitamin C and antioxidants, which help fight free radicals that cause accelerated aging. Oranges also have a very high Vitamin A content, which may help strengthen the protective outer layers of the skin, making them one of natures wonderful skin foods.

This avocado & orange smoothie recipe will:

  • Fill you up
