Hydrate with these strawberry watermelon popsicles
Â
Watermelon is a whopping near 90% water⌠hmm wonder why they called it watermelon?
We would say that watermelon is the most nutritious water youâll ever drink, itâs loaded with Vitamin A, C, B6 and the antioxidant lycopene. Watermelon also contains iron and potassium, which are both vital for maintaining homeostasis within the body.
Not only are we digging these health benefits, but weâve also topped these popsicles with the notorious electrolyte balancing coconut water. Coconut water isnât one of our favourite things to drink, straight up, but it sure is refreshing in the form of a popsicle. Loaded with potassium, coconut water is one of the best ways to balance your electrolytes, and prevent dehydration in the summer heat.
These strawberry watermelon popsicles are the perfect healthy snack for you and your kiddos, they are loaded with fruit, very low in sugar and make for a great healthy swap from the sugar laced store-bought popsicles. Even the healthiest of store bought popsicles contain plenty of added sugars, so these strawberry watermelon popsicles are a great alternative, and they are so simple to make.
With only 4 ingredients these strawberry watermelon popsicles are just as simple as making a smoothie. Blend, pour and freeze, you may have to wait a few hours for these popsicles to actually freeze (we know, we know⌠waiting is no fun), but trust us when we say that a popsicle thatâs pureed strawberry watermelon heaven is well worth the wait.
