“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.”
This week we had the honor and opportunity to be interviewed by our friend and colleague Shonda Holt of Nourishing Everyday for her View of Hope Interview series. Shonda has a goal of doing 1,000 interviews with people that are spending their life making this world a better place.
In her own words: “I started this project to showcase amazing people in our world that have a vision/mission or passion for improving people’s physical, emotional, mental &/or spiritual health. Or, they have a mission/vision to improve the state of those things I believe we were given to care for such as the environment &/or animals.
My goal is to show you that there is hope. If you are struggling or find that some days the world feels dark and negative know that there are at least 1,000 people who are spending their lives to make it a better place.“

About Shonda
I left a 25-year nursing career to start Nourishing Everyday. I am fiercely committed to working with clients to restore hormonal balance with a special emphasis on adrenal, thyroid and blood sugar imbalances. I have been there and done it. I burned myself out, gained weight and had debilitating brain fog. I struggled skiing even the 600-foot vertical of a local river valley ski hill. I remember saying that I felt I was dying. I had met the man of my dreams and was afraid to marry him because I felt I would be a burden because my energy was so low.
A doctor suggested I do some functional lab testing to really figure out what was going on. I learned from those tests and more research that I was insulin resistant as well as burned out. Knowing this changed not only my health but also my life mission and passion. I lost 30+ lbs and gained energy I never thought I would see again. I am now happily married to that man. I left my corporate nursing job to show people what is missing so they can have control of their health by addressing the underlying root cause.
