  • 4 lbs boneless pork shoulder (pork butt)
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • pepper
  • 2 cups chicken stock or vegetable stock
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 celery
  • 1 onion
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 1 handful bayleaf
  • red chili pepper


  1. Season the pork all over with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you'd like, then place it in the slow cooker.

  2. Pour in 2 cups of stock

  3. Cover with a lid and cook on low for about 6 hours on high

  4. When the pork is done cooking, remove it to a board, and let cool for at least 20 minutes before shredding with a fork.
